  FUNCTIONAL STATEMENT:  
   
 

With the advent RA 7160 the LGU-MSWDO is amended and envisioned to ensure effective and efficient delivery of basic social services and provide social protection, civil rights and welfare of the poor, vulnerable and disadvantaged individual, family and community to maximize skills and potentials towards poverty alleviation, empowerment through social welfare and development policies, programs, projects and services in coordination with other government organizations, non-government organizations, People organization and other members of the civil society.

 
   
 

Minimum Basis Needs/ Social Reform Agenda is strategy in maximizing people’s participation towards assessing, evaluating and monitoring, Strengthening capacities in problem solving, improving coping and mechanisms and identifying to meet the unmeet needs of our clients and formulation of plans for the delivery of basic services.

 
   
  OBJECTIVES:  
   
 
  • To develop, community awareness for social participation.
 
 
  • Conduct advocacy on all programs and services, law and other matters that increases awareness.
 
 
  • Implement package of basic social services to all sectors of our clients.
 
 
  • To strengthen social welfare structures through constant follow up, monitoring, skills training, and regular conduct of meeting.
 
 
  • To mobilize resources, tap resources and develop livelihood projects to augment income among the poor and deserving clients.
 
 
  • Networking with GO’s, NGO’s, PO’s and other organizations.
 
 
  • Advocate gender fair society and other laws that affect women, children and solo parents.
