The passage of RA 7160 known as the Local Government Code of 1991, empower and authorize Local government Units to establish an organization which shall be responsible for the efficient and effective implementation in generating and applying its resources through development plans, program objectives and priorities.
The Municipality of Kapalong has engaged in economic enterprise operation components such as the water system, public market, slaughterhouse, terminal, cemetery, gym and training center, motorpool and heavy equipment in doing revenue generation.
Municipal Ordinance 250’s May 29, 2002 created the Municipal Economic Enterprise Development and Management Office (EEDMO) which is designed to develop, manage and implement local business enterprises and revenue generating activities and shall be vested with necessary powers, responsibilities and resources to improve the financial and economic condition of the municipal government, and enhance the economic and social well-being of the Municipality and its people.
WATER SYSTEM OPERATION
MOTORPOOL OPERATION
Provides portable water supply within the municipality with four (4) pumping stations operational.
Performs preventive maintenance to all government owned heavy and light equipments
PUBLIC MARKET OPERATION
Provides a place for people that engage in trading of all kinds of food farm products and other merchandise, impose regulation of the same.
SLAUGHTERHOUSE OPERATION
Provides a place to all livestock like hogs, cattle, goat, etc. that will undergo a post and ante-mortem inspection before slaughtering and regulate all kinds of meat to fit for human consumption.
TERMINAL OPERATION
Regulate all kinds of vehicles that engage in business within the municipality.
CEMETERY OPERATION
Provides a place to accommodate burial services and regulate the same.
GYM AND TRAINING CENTER
Provides ample space for holding conferences, trainings, seminars, athletics and other physical fitness program both for public and private and regulate the same.
HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATION
Facilitate the Road Maintenance Program of the LGU and generates income through equipment rental to both private and public clients, through the existing fleets operational composed of five(5) DT’s, two (2) Pay loader, one (1) Backhoe loader, one (1) motor grader and one (1) bulldozer
