  At the onset, I wish to commend the Citizens’ Charter Team for the enthusiasm and collaborative effort
they have shown in coming up with this charter.  This effort is a great start in pushing for an expeditious
government service towards the transacting public.
 
  I see this work jibing nicely with our LGU’s endeavor of putting first its priority towards public interest.
This charter would eventually help the people become guided on the requirements and steps in transacting
business with the local government to include the standards set for timeliness in providing such service.
 
  The redress mechanisms on the other hand, simply manifests that the LGU is open to suggestions to
continuously improve its service delivery. Further, it provides an avenue wherein the public could air their
sentiments and complaints with regard to how their requests/transactions are treated. 
 
  My co-workers in the government service, hand in hand let us work for the betterment of our service to
the people. Let us build the public’s trust and together let us establish a working environment that ensures
transparency and reinforces integrity. Prompt, fair and reliable public service inspires people’s trust and
therefore would create a favorable environment that would contribute to a  well-functioning governance and
stabilized economy.
 
  To the people of Kapalong and all our clients, may this simple charter be your constant guide as you
come to us for any LGU related transactions.
